It's no secret that someone around here recently turned 3:
I can't get enough of this face.
But my cuddle monster isn't the only one adding another candle on the birthday cake. Matt turned the big 3-3 last week. But unfortunately, birthdays in your thirties aren't as exciting as birthdays in your childhood. Nevertheless, we tried to make it as fun for Matt as we could. So Nigel wrote Matt a sweet note and taped it to the door warning he was not allowed to enter.
If you take a closer look you can read what he wrote:
Daddie, Iff yur nam iz Daddie, pleaz stay ot. Luv, Nigel.
Because this was inside! Nigel picked out a special chair to play XBOX with so that it's easy to move out of the way when Matt wants to use the Kinect or use his bikes. The only problem is when we took it out of the box it was a lot smaller than I expected so Nigel and I will be exchanging it for a better one this weekend.
Look at that frosting job! I was so impressed. Usually I have pieces of cake jutting out through the frosting and it looks like a child frosted the cake. Not this time... I will take full credit for this job. Oh, but it doesn't matter. Matt's office showed me up by sending these on his birthday:
A box of chocolate covered strawberries made to look like long-stem roses. Yeah, they even had stems. And they were delicious. Happy Birthday, Husband!
